LET'S GO! K9 TRAINING

The owner of Let’s Go! K9 Training came to us with an existing site on the Weebly platform. She wanted more control over her website, especially when it came to SEO best practices. Without hesitation, we sent Weebly packing to the curb and redesigned her website on WordPress. This allowed us the freedom to implement fun & interactive navigation, provide a better functioning lead capture process complete with visitor exit intent, and clarify her message across more distinct pages and sections. On her old Weebly site, she had employed graphics to display some text-heavy banners and we were able to redesign her calls-to-action in a more browser-friendly fashion, another win for SEO (and also for mobile responsiveness).

Two more important features of her site: We categorized her video content and culled it all into a single page instead of being scattered all over, adding useful navigation to the categories allowing for easy discovery of desired content. We also moved the site onto a managed WordPress hosting solution and shaved many seconds off of her page load times, greatly improving visitor experience as well as the SEO impact.

522 TATTOO

522 Tattoo came to us with the desire to be more hands-on with their site than most clients. That meant that a lot of our job was to give them more detailed training on how the “back end” of their site was going to function with the theme they’d selected. We made sure that as their business grew and more artists came on board, their site would always have the flexibility to grow along with them.

Being an artist-driven industry, stunning portfolios were a priority. There are also little details tucked away, like artist contact meta data attached to portfolio images for search engine indexing, a color scheme lifted straight from their own shop, and a very robust Contact page that leaves nothing to chance.

SEMPER PORRO

Cycling and racing coach Jordan Itaya knew exactly what he wanted in his new website. Not only did he need a place to advertise his services, but he desired a site that could showcase the riders on his team as well as his self-produced video series, The Semper Porro Chronicles.

Part of building your brand is putting your achievements on display, and the Semper Porro site structure needed to be fluid and user-friendly enough to let Coach Itaya keep his riders' wins front and center. We embedded social media feeds in strategic places to keep content fresh, and made the site architecture expandable so as to make uploading and organizing new SPC additions a snap.

When performance started to suffer on the site's former host, we moved Semper Porro over to WP Engine for lightning fast page loading with no more concerns about traffic bogging the site down after a big win in the media.

HOPE2K9 FOUNDATION

Hope2K9 Foundation, formerly Hope2K9 Rescue, began as the non-profit dog rescue associated with Home2K9 Dog Training. The two companies have since merged into one, under the leadership of founder Cameron Thompsen, to provide rescue and education services - as well as dog training - with the primary goal of keeping as many dogs in their homes as possible by empowering frustrated dog owners with the tools and knowledge they need to problem solve their issues.

Hope2K9 Foundation now proudly bills themselves as the "anti-rescue rescue," which is a nod to their primary goal of stopping the influx of dogs coming into the rescue system to begin with. By helping dog owners overcome their biggest frustrations via education and support, Hope2K9 can slow down rescue intake numbers and also provide dog owners with strategies they'll be able to use for the rest of their lives.

Hope2K9 had two main objectives with their rescue site: Showcase the fully trained dogs they have available for adoption, and also make it as easy as possible for visitors to support them. That meant we needed to make financial donations EASY and QUICK. We also created an Amazon Wish List so supporters could track and purchase supplies for the organization (and also make sure they didn't get things they didn't need, or too much of an item).

We also created a print-on-demand clothing and accessory line called the Dog Nerd Cult for the die hard fans, which has been a huge hit with all proceeds benefiting the foundation.

ALPHA BITCH EVOLUTIONS

Cameron Thompsen, the founder of Hope2K9 Foundation and Home2K9 Dog Training, is also the growth coach behind Alpha Bitch Evolutions. Through her coaching programs and live events, she challenges her clients to step up and build the lives they crave and then provides the tools to do so.

Every year, she hosts a multi-day live retreat with a guest keynote speaker and luxurious catering. We have provided the landing pages for her events (as well as her telesummit launches) to automate her ticket sales and get those event seats sold! This is an example of her 2019 event page, highlighting the current venue and guest speaker.

Through her telesummits, live events, websites, and social media activities, we have helped her build a responsive FB audience over 5000 strong, added thousands of subscribers to her email list, and help sell tens of thousands of dollars of event seats each year.

STRUCTURED K9 TRAINING

Structured K9 Training is a new dog training business opened by a Navy veteran & pilot for a local police department. As his retirement from the force draws near, he wanted to get a head start on his next adventure and needed a website to support his vision.

We worked within the constraints of a very tight budget to deliver this project. While the site is free of any extraneous bells and whistles, it still contains the fundamental building blocks of an effective site: Clear and concise navigation, compelling calls to action, links out to the prominent social media accounts, and a robust FAQ. We also restructured their logo so be in a more web-friendly layout.

HOME2K9 DOG TRAINING

Home2K9 Dog Training was the sister-site to Hope2K9 Rescue, which have merged to become Hope2K9 Foundation. It is now a deprecated site, but was a good example of how the Wordpress platform enables constant and endless expansion.

While she started this company as a dog trainer, founder Cameron Thompsen soon found herself guiding, supporting, and educating other dog trainers and rescue organizations as part of her services. This new branch of mentorship exploded into multiple levels of coaching clients, ranging from long distance virtual coaching to high-impact, on-site immersion training. Her site was always expanding to showcase her specialized services.

Being educators at heart, Cameron and her team are experts at providing immense value over social media covering a wide range of topics, but often revolving around canine nutrition, psychology, problem solving strategies, and common products and tools used regularly by the team. Because these conversations are so cyclical and products are referenced so often, we designed an Amazon Affiliate storefront, creating a library of popular recommended products. This allowed the Home2K9 team to have an organized collection of recommended items at easy disposal, and making link distribution a snap.

The Amazon Affiliate storefront not only brought in another revenue stream for the company, but it did it passively. By the very nature of the Amazon Affiliate program, commissions are earned by referring customers to products, which meant that Home2K9 was free from the burden of product stocking or order fulfillment. The storefront orders were all handled by Amazon.

An important side note for Amazon Affiliate stores, is that the referrer earns commissions on *every* item that the shopper purchases during that store visit, not just on the item(s) that the referrer recommended. When used strategically, an Amazon Affiliate storefront can be an excellent supplemental income stream.

Family Friendly K9 is a Husband + Wife + Son team that enjoy giving pet dog owners the tools and skills they need to have the best possible relationship with their dogs.

In the dog training world, philosophies and methods are about as diverse and debated as they are in the human child rearing world. Different segments defend their beliefs with an almost religious fervor, and so getting out in front of your target audience of like minded customers is crucial. We designed the FFK9 site to be absolutely clear about who they serve and how they deliver their services. But we also paid special attention to their contact form, and used conditional logic to display/hide fields depending on previous answers. This strategic use of conditional logic helps identify and weed out the visitors that probably won't be a good fit for the company. This saves time, frustration, and head-butting further down the road.
